The suspected serial killer accused of killing four gay men by poisoning them once appeared on an episode of Celebrity Masterchef, it has been revealed.

Stephen Port, who allegedly poisoned men he met on the gay dating app, Grindr, is due to appear at the Old Bailey today – but footage has emerged of him today working alongside JLS singer JB Gill and Eastenders actress Emma Barton.

The accused murderer – who reportedly worked as a £100-a-night rent boy – helped the celebrity chefs make pasta and meatballs for a room full of hungry bus drivers on an episode of the show in June last year.

Port is being accused of murdering four young men he met online over the period of 15 months. All four men were allegedly given fatal doses of party drug GHB (known as liquid ecstasy).

Before dumping their bodies in random spots near his flat, the 40-year-old is also accused of having sex with their unconscious bodies.

Police, however, only started searching for a serial killer once they finally connected the deaths last week.

Port will appear for a preliminary hearing at the Old Bailey today.
