Olly Murs has announced that he’s gay – sort of.
His claim comes after Sacha Baron Cohen said ‘all men have homosexual tendencies’, and claimed he was 23 per cent gay.
In an interview with The Sun, Murs agreed with Cohen, saying he was ‘probably the same, or maybe 20 per cent’.

He told The Sun: “I’ve got a lot of gay friends I get on with really well. I get on with everyone. Everyone’s got a bit of campness about them . . .”
While it’s not clear how serious his (or Cohen’s) comments are, people have been quick to fire criticism at the singer, saying homosexuality doesn’t equate to having gay friends or ‘being a bit camp’.
Olly Murs: having gay friends and being a bit ‘camp’, doesn’t make you any % gay, soz, just makes you a man who lives in the 21st century

LGBTQ Nation called his comments ‘tasteless’ and said that his claim of having lots of gay friends ‘added insult to injury’.
Murs’ claims to be pansexual have come after Sacha Baron Cohen spoke to WTF in an interview podcast last month, claiming that his ‘gay percentage’ fluctuates.

The thing about being straight or gay is, they’re kind of silly terms, because it’s a scale, everyone is somewhere on the scale.
There are times I go down to 17, sometimes I’m 31, it depends on the situation. When I was doing Borat and I had the testicles at my chin I was up to 31.
True or not, these claims have definitely caused a stir on social media.
