Some people have been handing out fat-shaming cards on the London Underground.
The group – who call themselves Overweight Haters Ltd. – have been handing out the cards to random passengers on the Tube, with a number of people reporting they’d seen it happen.
Young man just got on train at Oxford Circus, gave printed card saying YOU'RE FAT to overweight girl. He jumped off. She read it, & cried.

According to The Guardian the police have now launched an investigation into the abusive cards, which read:
It’s really not glandular, it’s your gluttony … Our organisation hates and resents fat people. We object to the enormous amount of food resources you consume while half the world starves… We also object that the beautiful pig is used as an insult. You are not a pig. You are a fat, ugly human.
A witness described one of the people handing out the cards as an ‘ordinary-looking middle-aged man’, while another said a hipster was giving them out.
You need more reason to hate hipsters? He was a hipster. Smartly, trendily dressed. Beard. Perhaps it was a piece of conceptual art. Wanker

Kara Florish was one of the people targeted by the group, she wrote on Facebook:
I am not upset myself, I am smaller than the national average and not exactly obese, but this is hateful and cowardly and could potentially upset people struggling with confidence and eating disorders.
Please tweet and share this if you are also outraged. Plus, to the person who wrote this card. Go back to school, you can’t spell beautiful.
Steve Burton from Transport for London, said they were treating the incident seriously, saying: “All of our customers have the right to travel with confidence, and this sad and unpleasant form of antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.”
Twitter users took to the site to condemn the people behind the cruel cards:
Dear Overweight Haters Ltd,
I will hunt you & I will find you & I will seat myself upon you until you squeak & pop like a balloon weasel.

I really wish someone would give me a "fat" card so in return I could give them multiple paper cuts with it #OverweightHaters

Desperate to be handed an Overweight Haters Ltd card so I can smother the perpetrator in my rolls of fat.

Dear Overweight Haters Ltd,
If you hand me a card, please ensure you have a tupperware container with you in which to carry home your teeth.

While some were more sceptical about the whole thing:
This "Overweight Haters Ltd" is a publicity stunt for someone. An "edgy" new marketing company, possibly?

And another had some bad news for the people behind Overweight Haters Ltd:
