Sex worker lifts the lid on scariest parts of her job and the shocking price clients pay for 'girlfriend experience'

The New York-based sex worker opened up about her line of work

A New York escort has opened up about the darker side of her job.

Susie, who works at a brothel as well as independently, opened up in an interview with Matt Cullen, the host of the YouTube series Our Queer Life.

During the interview, Cullen was taken through Susie's beginnings in sex work.

Susie admitted that she takes a lot of precautions to stay safe with clients including verifying her clients' IDs, asking for a deposit upfront and keeping cameras in her apartment.

Talking about the service she offers, Susie said: "I consider it like a girlfriend experience, just there's no intercourse."

When new clients come to visit, Susie starts them off with a nuru massage - an erotic massage in which the masseuse and client are nude and covered in gel.

This is an icebreaker for Susie and her client, who can then talk about other services.

For one of these massages, Susie charges $600 an hour.

But, before Susie began implementing checks on ID, she once had a scary experience with a customer.

She recalled: "He's like, 'so we're doing full service right?' and I was like, 'no we're not and we didn't agree on that over the phone.'

The man refused to pay up and shoved Susie against the wall.

"Thank god I had somebody there in the house with me, and I yelled out for her," Susie recalled. "He choked me and put me against the wall and it was a whole thing.

"That experience opened up my eyes. Now I know like never again to let anybody into my home without verification and deposit.

"I'm very thankful for that experience - it could have gone way worse. The guy could have had a gun, a knife - thank God it didn't get to that point."

In the interview, Susie dished more on how much she charges in her line of work and what she offers.

Susie described herself as a 'sensual dom': "I'm a dominant provider I like to take control but I'm not going to beat the s**t out of you unless you pay me a lot of money."

In terms of how much she charges for a 'full girlfriend experience', Susie explained it costs $1,600 on top of the initial $600 for the massage.

Susie is one of millions of women who work in the sex work industry.

According to the International Union of Sex Workers, there are more than 52 million sex workers globally, with 41.6 million of them being women.
