Man stopped at airport for trying to board flight with unbelievable item in his pants

Officers at Miami International Airport were in for a shock when they checked the bag which was stashed in his underwear

Security staff at Miami International Airport were left baffled by what they found in a man's underwear as he tried to board his flight.

I think we're all aware of what we can and cannot take onto a flight.

While some things are pretty obvious, there are signs up at the majority of airport security that indicate what you can and cannot take onboard just incase you're unsure.

But one man man he would try his luck by hiding an unbelievable item in his underwear.

It's safe to say, no one could have predicted what was inside the bag...

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials at Miami Intentional Airport detected a ‘bag of snakes hidden in a passenger’s pants' at a security checkpoint on Friday (3 May).

Yes, snakes.

The officers who came across the snakes called Customs and Border Protection in the Southeast and Miami-Dade police to assist with their bizarre find.

The snakes were handed over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Pictures have since been shared of the snakes to social media, thanks to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by the TSA.

A spokesperson wrote: "Officers at @iflymia detected this bag of snakes hidden in a passenger’s pants at a checkpoint on Fri, April 26. @TSAcalled our @CBPSoutheast and Miami-Dade Police partners in to assist, and the snakes were turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission."

The pictures floating around on the web show a camouflage print bag tied with no apparent air holes, with a number of small pale snakes inside.

It is not known if the reptiles are the man's pets and why he wanted to take them on board with him in the first place.

A TSA spokesperson confirmed the man was trying to board an international flight.

They said: "It showed that there was an anomaly in the groin area and it marks it for a pat-down.

"When the passenger came through they said that they needed to do a pat-down and that’s when he admitted that there were snakes in his pants.

"At that point, they contacted law enforcement from there so I think that he knew that, you know, once the technology flagged him for a search that he was caught and he admitted to it."

Social media users were quick to share their reactions.

One person joked: “That takes some balls! (Bahahaha I couldn't resist). Quite the commitment for certain.”

“Maybe he wanted to film a remake of the movie "Snakes on a Plane"!!!,” another user added.
