Remember when wrestler Wade Barrett got slapped by Wayne Rooney at a WWE event at Manchester Arena?
Well, Barrett’s now called out Roy Keane on Twitter after he criticised the TV stunt, with the wrestler threatening to ‘batter’ the Irishman.
The video of Rooney’s slap went viral, but Keane didn’t approve of the theatrical nonsense.
He appeared on ITV, where he said he was unimpressed with Rooney’s attitude and performance against PSV Eindhoven, adding that he thought the striker shouldn’t be wasting his time appearing on TV while his form isn’t on point.
I always question certain players what are they doing off the field? I saw Wayne last week slapping a wrestler and I’m thinking ‘why is he getting involved in all that nonsense?’
There’s no benefit to him so I think I would look at that side to it.
Barrett wasn’t having any of it though, and the wrestler waded in to the situation, appearing to side with Rooney and offering to fight Keane.
If Roy Keane's looking for a piece, I'll batter him too. https://t.co/aMppceCKnU

Keane vs. Barrett? Now that’s something I’d pay to see.
