A student is afraid she’ll never have an orgasm after spending an incredible three years trying and failing to give herself one.

The Mirror reports, Megan Ward, from Birmingham, has tried a range of sex toys every day since early 2013 in the hopes of achieving satisfaction.

She has also had countless therapy sessions – but all her attempts to solve the problem have failed.

The 20-year-old suffers from a condition called anorgasmia, which sees sufferers constantly fail to achieve climax. Incredibly, as many as one in five British women suffer from the condition but, reportedly, most suffer in silence.

Megan first admitted her diagnosis in late 2014 but, now, she has revealed she’s still never experienced an orgasm.

In an article for The Tab, Megan claimed she had been desperately trying all the suggestions she has received since she revealed her problem – but none have led to climax.

The University of Birmingham student said:

I now own 10 different kinds of vibrators, among many other sex toys which would make your grandma’s eyes bleed.

My vagina, she tries, bless her, but it’s just not something she can do.

Although none of the advice Megan received enabled her to achieve orgasm, the young woman insisted she is still glad she highlighted her own bedroom plight in the article in November 2014. She said that, before publishing the piece, she was worried that people would think she was weird or a bit pathetic.

Instead, the response she got from people was overwhelmingly positive.

She said:

I got messages from people I had spoken to maybe once all congratulating me. Some of my best friends shared the piece and wrote publicly they were proud of me.

Strangers stalked me down on Facebook – some in a creepy way – but others to say thank you for writing the piece.

Although Megan hasn’t escaped all the jokes, she explained that she went for pre-drinks the night the article was published, only for two of her best friends to make orgasm jokes the minute she walked in. Megan laughs off the jokes, however, saying it was all in good fun: ‘With all good friendships, it became something they would wind me up about, but overall, it didn’t change a thing.’

Unfortunately, she also admitted to receiving a number of negative comments – with some men even tracking her down.

She said:

I don’t know why men felt the need to track me down and proposition me, but apparently they did. One gem was the guy who tracked me down to say I just hadn’t met the right man yet, but since I’m not too bad looking I’ll be okay.

He missed the whole point of the article – as well as insulting my boyfriend and knocking my self-esteem in the process.

Worst of all though, were the people who thought she had written the article for attention.

In fact, Megan wrote it because she felt it important that young people should be able to talk about sexual problems  openly in the hope of normalising issues and helping others. And good on her, we say!
