One year on from the tragic MH17 crash, new footage has emerged showing the horrifying moment parts of the plane crashed into a Ukrainian field.

A shaky video filmed on a mobile phone by a passing couple has been released on YouTube, titled “It’s Raining Bodies” and, as the title suggests, viewer discretion is advised before watching the harrowing footage.

Driving past the field, the traumatised couple captured some of the shocking moments after the Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 was shot down, killing all 298 people on board.

And the woman is so understandably disturbed by the sight of people falling from the sky amid the burning wreckage that she insists they drive away.

The footage comes after pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine recently offered to assist families of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 victims to visit the crash site.

Alexander Kofman, ‘Foreign Minister’ of Donetsk People’s Republic, said:

We, of course, are ready to provide all possible assistance for relatives who want to come to honour the memory of the loved ones who died. There is no particular difficulty in obtaining documents, but we will assist anyway.

Many relatives have resisted travelling to the region which is legally part of Ukraine but under the sway of pro-Moscow rebels who the West blames for downing the plane. The militants backed by Moscow continue to deny any responsibility for the tragedy.

An investigation by the Dutch Safety Board is ongoing, with the final report due in October.
