Madonna is a pop icon and a savvy businesswoman, but I’m pretty sure she isn’t a prostitute or a trained comedian for that matter.

So her latest ploy to drum up support for Hillary Clinton came as somewhat of a surprise, when she offered all Hillary voters a blowjob at an Amy Schumer gig.

Apparently, according to Madonna, she’s pretty good. (Independent sources yet to confirm.)

While opening Amy Schumer’s comedy show, Madonna said:

If you vote for Hillary Clinton, I will give you a blowjob, okay? Swear to god.

And I am good. I’m good. I’m not a douche and I’m not a tool. I take my time, I, uh, have a lot of eye contact. Yeah? And I do swallow.

Yet again, we watch on in shock and dismay as this Presidential election campaign gets smeared with sex.

The political arena has been turned into a bad locker room porno, tarnished by both the sexploits – if you can call sexual harassment by any other name – of candidates, their husbands and their supporters alike.

Frankly, I’m sick of it.

While Madonna – and all women – are entitled to speak freely about the sex lives in whatever way they see fit, this whole presidential election campaign seems to be telling females that their political opinions are only valid when they’re sexualised.

We’ve all watched Katy Perry‘s nude election video, we clicked on the naked voting selfies, and now this. These ploys for media support tell women their opinions will only be listened to when partnered with nudity or a blow job.

Furthermore, while I hope Madonna and Perry do manage to promote Hillary Clinton’s (not ideal but) preferable policies to the masses, who’s to say the average Joe in America is so dumb he’ll only vote on the promise of a blow job or a glimpse of sideboob?

Acts like this not only appear self-aggrandising on the celebrity’s part, but they also disrespect the voting male public and teach women a misguided lesson in politics.
