It’s officially Mariah Carey season.

In preparation for blasting her ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ constantly up until Christmas, Ellen Degeneres had Mimi and her diamond-encrusted existence as a guest on her show, complete with holiday decorations and a festively-dressed Mariah.

And while most people wouldn’t dare try and get personal with the diva superstar, Ellen – the queen of digging up dirt in the most respectful and polite way possible – didn’t hold back when it came to asking some juicy questions.

First on the list? Those Mariah Carey nudes.

The photos, which were posted back in September, caused a bizarre uproar among fans.

But Mariah insisted she was forced into taking the photos, saying:

It was 4 in the morning… and I decided to take a bath and then I was bombarded by somebody. I’m not gonna say who it was… and she was like, ‘Let’s take a picture!’ … I’m like, ‘Nooo! Go away!’ But, by the way, I’m wearing a bodysuit under that. Nobody can see.

Just got home after a long night at the studio!!!!! New music coming soon yayyyyyy

Ellen also adressed Mariah’s new docuseries, Mariah’s World — which hits E! on December 4 and gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at her life on tour. Explaining a particular scene in which she tries on dresses for a wedding that never ended up happening, Mimi took a ’round-the-bush approach.

She said:

I think I’m doing well… Everything happens for a reason. Things are the way they are… It’s kind of difficult to talk about at this moment, so I’m just going to compliment you on these decorations, once again, because they are fabulous and I am here.

Well handled. Mariah has been giving us the goods for almost three decades now, so if she on occasion doesn’t want to delve into her personal issues, so be it.

After all, the holidays are a time to avoid unwanted relationship struggles.
