A Muslim porn star who claims she’s been ‘banned’ from Pakistan and receives death threats has revealed why she won’t ever quit her job.

Nadia Ali explained how she first got into the industry as a dancer two-and-a-half years ago before moving onto escorting and then into the porn industry.

Nadia, who’s family are from Pakistan, used to thread eyebrows before getting involved in the adult film industry, where she learnt that wearing the traditional Islamic dress could pull in millions of viewers.

Speaking to Refinery29, the 25-year-old who lives in Los Angeles, admits that their are conflicts between her work and religion:

I’m a practising Muslim. Sure I have conflicts between my faith and day-to-day life, but doesn’t everybody? I practice Islam, for the sake of peace and guidelines of life – not to steal, be humble, be happy, be thankful.

This path came about when her friend took her to work as an erotic dancer, after struggling financially working in a salon in San Francisco.

She added:

I made like 500 bucks and I was so proud of myself. Oh my God I’m never going to go back, I’m never going to go back to my old life again. It’s like you’re selling a fantasy that you’re going to take this guy home with you but you’re not.

Despite saying in the video that was ‘officially banned from Pakistan’, after being questioned about it by the Mail Online, she explained that she hadn’t been notified of a ban through legitimate channels, but it would be dangerous for her to go there.

“When people want to kill somebody they’re not going to contact you, you’re just going to know and feel,” Nadia said.

Although her parents would prefer her not too work in the industry, they respect her decision and she hopes to use porn as a ‘stepping stone’ towards opening a beauty bar.

Despite criticism from Muslims for ‘bashing’ her own culture with her choice of outfits, Nadia believes she’s a bit of a trend setter and hopes to encourage those individuals to ‘open their minds’.

She added:

Someone has to make a difference and change a few things. If I have to make it clear over and over again that’s fine, I’m here to stay and I’m here to make a difference.
