We all know that hardcore fans will try pretty much anything to give their team an edge at home.

A perfect opportunity for this can be the free throw in basketball, which can actually be difficult – especially given the right kind of ‘mental interference’.

Step up two Rockets fans who may have taken free-throw distraction techniques to the next level.

According to Bleacher Report, with less than a second left in the first half, the New Orleans Pelicans’ Norris Cole was confronted with a unique ‘diversion’.

Two women who – I’m going to assume – were dressed as scantily clad Dr. Seuss characters, decided to start a pretend fight with each other after one pulled the other’s ‘tail’.

Unfortunately for these ladies, none of the Pelicans players were fazed by their distraction and ended up netting their shots.

Top marks for effort though.
