It turns out that watching an extreme amount of porn could be having a very worrying effect on your sexual performance.

Sex therapist Angela Gregory says she believes constant access to online porn is causing an increasing number of young guys to suffer erectile problems usually experienced by middle-aged men, reports The Sun.

Angela says she has seen a massive swelling in the number of porn-addicted millennial men seeking treatment for their penis problems.

She told the BBC:

What I’ve seen over the last 16 years, particularly the last five years, is an increase in the amount of younger men being referred.

Historically, men that were referred to our clinic with erectile dysfunction were older men whose issues were related to diabetes, MS or cardio vascular disease.

These younger men do not have organic disease, they’ve already been tested by their GP and everything is fine.

Angela believes that one problem is that a lot of young men are experiencing performance anxiety after comparing themselves to the unrealistic standards of adult films.

Another common issue is that they become ‘hooked’ on extreme porn – available free of charge in little more than a few clicks – which depicts acts that few partners would be willing to take part in.

This then leaves them bored by the standard sex on offer to them.

The BBC spoke to 15-year-old Nick, who spent up to two hours a day watching extreme porn. He said:

Over a short period of time, normal stuff didn’t do anything any more, so I had to get more extreme material.

I found that when I was lying next to a girl I just wouldn’t be horny at all, despite being really attracted to the girl and wanting to have sex with her, because my sexuality was completely wired towards porn.

Angela has advised other sex therapists to ask men with erectile problems about their porn habits before recommending treatment.
