Ever since its launch in 1953, which featured an iconic shoot of Hollywood superstar Marilyn Monroe, Playboy has remained popular among men of all generations.
It’s perhaps most famous for its nude shoots of celebrities from over the years. But last month Cory Jones, one of Playboy‘s top editors, met with the magazines founder Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion where the pair agreed that they should stop publishing images of naked women.
As part of a redesign to be unveiled next March, Playboy have announced it will still feature women in provocative poses, but they won’t be fully nude, the New York Times reports.
The magazine is adopting a more modern style, and will still feature investigative journalism, in-depth features and interviews.
And to mark the change, here are 10 of the most iconic shoots from the last 50 years, lest we forget.
