Jimmy Savile’s £300,000 penthouse, where he abused at least one of his many, many victims, is set to be demolished later today.
Builders are currently preparing to destroy the rooftop six storey building, where Savile actually died aged 84 in 2011, at Rounday Park in Leeds.
The notorious paedophile held weekly ‘meetings’ in the penthouse which he referred to as ‘The Friday Morning Club’.
It is thought that at least one of Savile’s many victims were abused in the flat during his 30-years of residence – however it is not known how many others were also preyed upon in the lair.
Rounday Park was once regarded as one of the North’s most luxury residences, offering some of the best views of Leeds however by the time of the prolific molesters death, the penthouse had grown rotten, dated, and tatty.
The document which led to the planned demolition of the penthouse was submitted to Leeds City Council and claimed that the demolition would be followed by the ‘construction of a new steel framed structure’.
Shortly after Savile’s death hundreds of reports emerged by people claiming that he had sexually abused them in the past.
Police later claimed that Savile was a predatory sex offender, perhaps even Britain’s most prolific sex offender at that.
Sadly, any claims made against the bestial monster that was Jimmy Savile during his lifetime were simply dismissed and/or covered up due to his power, dominance, and status in the media and the public eye.
