If you thought the trend of celebrities getting into politics was over with Trump in the White House, you may want to think again.
The election has prompted the masses to call for other celebrities like Kanye West to put themselves forward to take over The White House in 2020.
And Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson may be that man.
Johnson, recently revealed to be the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, had previously tweeted that ‘maybe one day’ he would run for office.
Now, asked by Vanity Fair if he would run in the 2020 election, Johnson replied:
I wouldn’t rule it out. It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.
Don’t think he has the credentials? Neither did Trump, but the actor is no stranger to politics. He spoke at the 2000 Republican National Convention to encourage young people to vote regardless of party affiliation and has recently commented on social media about the idea of running for public office.
Cool piece on why I should run for President. Maybe one day. Surely the White House has a spot for my pick up truck..https://t.co/JpkZ4w1eh3

In June, The Rock told GQ:
I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out. I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring.
And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.
So while he may not have any solid experience as a politician, he does have his country’s best interests at heart, which is refreshing.
And let’s be honest, he wouldn’t make a bad president.
He respects, and is respected by, the military and law enforcement:
Lived in Miami since I was 18yrs old. Our police departments in Dade and Broward County have always been an invaluable partnership to me. From my days of being a Miami Hurricane, years of WWE wrestling in our arenas and stadiums to film and TV productions our production company brings to our great city. We appreciate my buds like Lt. Freddy Cruz, Deputy Chief Luis Cabrera and Commander Richard Perez for all their support and assistance over the years. Stay strong, stay safe and thank you boys (and girls;) for all you do. #FirstResponders #Miami #Dade #Broward #Ballers #Season2
He’s successfully managed a hectic schedule for years:
He’s no stranger to hard work, having started from humble beginnings:
Funny how things come back full circle. When I was 14 me and family were evicted from our 1 bedroom efficiency and forced to leave the state of Hawaii. At that time I made a promise to myself to do everything I could to work extremely hard to make sure we never see another eviction notice again. The only action I could take as a 14yr old punk kid was go straight to the YMCA and hit the iron. At that time all my heroes were big strong dudes who were successful – Eastwood, Arnold, NFL players and Pro Wrestling icons. That's why it was so cool for me to go back to the YMCA this past week, train like an animal and remember where it all started for me. Funny thing I realized as I was training that I still wake up every morning at 4am to train with the mindset that "the wolf is always scratchin' at my door" and that f*cker is delivering another eviction notice. One day I'll get the proper psychiatric therapy I need ;), but until then let's always be hungry, humble and always be the hardest workers in the room. #WolfIsAlwaysScratchin #ButNotAt4am
He’s a family man:
I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more… IT'S A BABY GIRL!! THANK YOU guys so much for the awesome support and love you've sent @laurenhashianofficial and myself from around the world. We're so grateful for this blessing and thrilled to share the news with y'all. #BringOnMoreEstrogenInOurHome #MeAndPuppyHobbsAreTheOnlyDudes #2xProudPapaBear #JustOverHereMakingBabiesAndStuff #AndPalmingPregnantBellys 🙏🏾👶🏾
And between Hollywood and WWE, there’s certainly at least one fan base that would stand behind Johnson.
Was Baba Vanga, the blind Bulgarian mystic who predicted 9/11 and the rise of ISIS, right? Will Obama be the last ‘real’ president? Looks like there will be a string of celebrities taking over the White House from here on out.
The Rock for 2020 president, then?
