People cheat – it’s a terrible thing, but it happens.
And while most people might believe men are more likely to stray, a new survey suggests that women are more partial to promiscuity than you might think.
Illicit Encounters, an extra-marital dating site, found that there’s one common denominator that sparks infidelity in women, and it has to do with their parents.
Basically, if a woman’s parent cheated on their significant other, she’s more likely to follow suit in the future.
The study found that 71 per cent of unfaithful women had mothers who cheated.
With men, only 45 per cent of cheaters were the sons of dads who did the same, the Mirror reports.
Illicit Encounters’ Christian Grant said of the results:
Contrary to popular belief, most men aren’t necessarily proud of the ‘lad’ status given to them by their mates if they sleep around.
Though it might appear that way, deep down they fear the potential backlash from their fathers, irrespective of whether they have a history of cheating themselves.
The more you know.
