Here we are people, that time of the year when we start reminiscing on what we’ve learned over the past 12 months.

And there’s one area that you might think is fairly self-explanatory – porn. You watch it, you do things when you watch it, and that’s about it, right?

Wrong, this year we learned a lot more about porn than you’d think, and here’s a run through of five of those very things.

Porn Does Terrible Things To Your Brain

That’s right, it turns out all that pornography you’re watching is doing some bad shit to your brain.

You see, both having sex and watching porn releases dopamine into the brain, the neurotransmitter that’s responsible for reward and pleasure, and the more dopamine you release, the higher your tolerance becomes.

So watching excessive amounts of porn causes you to become desensitised – leading you to need a bigger hit to get the same effect.

It also dulls your response to sexual stimulation, causing heavy porn users to need more extreme experiences to get sexually aroused – because they’ve become so desensitised they struggle to get excited by ordinary sexual encounters.

In other words, porn is creating a generation of men who are terrible in bed.

But wait, here’s some more bad news: watching porn may also be shrinking your brain. The area of the brain linked with motivation and reward response shrank the more porn a person watched.

So there you go, come the New Year (pun intended) maybe you should think about cutting down on porn a bit – because science says so, and you don’t want to get science mad.

Your Entire Porn Browsing History Could Soon Become Public

Yep, all that weird shit you’ve been watching could be about to come back and bite you in the ass.

Hackers could get access to all the adult content you’ve been viewing, even if you were watching in Incognito mode, and expose it to people you might not want to see it, like your gran.

The dire warning comes courtesy of blogger Brett Thomas, who reckons people’s porn browsing history appearing online will be the next big privacy scandal.

According to Brett, if hackers gain access to just one website which has your personal details, E.G Facebook, they can track this back to a list of adult websites you’ve visited, along with any of the questionable pornographic content you may have searched for.

Here’s to hoping your gran doesn’t find out about that thing with the midget you watched ‘that one time’. You dirty bugger.

Always wanted to go to university but aren’t interested in any of the stuffy old boring courses on offer? Well now there’s just the thing – welcome to the ‘University of Porn’.

Italian porn actor Rocco Siffredi set up the ‘Siffredi Hard Academy’, a reality show where the Italian Stallion teaches a group of aspiring porn stars the tricks of the trade, instilling in them the knowledge he’s gained over the years.

Siffredi has played the lead in over 1,300 adult films, and is eager to show his methods of working.

He whittled down thousands of applicants to 21 ‘students’, seven women and 14 men, who may soon be coming to a porno near you next year. So keep your eyes peeled. Or not, if you don’t want to be shit in bed with a tiny shrunken brain to boot (see point 1).

If You’re Going To Watch Porn In Class, At Least Wear Headphones

If you absolutely, positively have to watch porn in class, then at the very least you should wear headphones.

Because otherwise you’ll end up like this guy, who decided to take a break from learning to watch an aggressive, steroid-infused man with a shaved head doing his thing with a plastic woman with daddy issues, both of them trying their hardest not to cry at the terrible life choices that lead them to this moment. Or something similar…

A video shows the young musketeer attempting to access some hardcore adult material during class. Unfortunately for him he forgot to plug his earphones in, and quickly realises that the whole room can hear the grunts emitting from his laptop.

He then makes a swift embarrassed exit. And now he’s on the Internet. Here:

Porn Addiction Affects Everybody, And It Can Ruin Your Life

Wayne Perry Five Things We Learned About Porn In 2015Wayne Perry

Think of porn addicts and you might conjure up an image of a single man, whiling away the lonely hours in his room with just a laptop and a massive box of tissues for company.

But porn addiction affects both men and women, ten per cent of adults admit to having an internet sex addiction and a third of them are female.

Jessie Maegan was one of those women. The 29-year-old from Totnes, Devon spent hours searching through porn sites – amassing £4,000 of debt from paying for exclusive downloads, leaving her barely able to afford her rent.

It got to the point where she stopped eating properly and had no friends. But the turning point for her was when she was fired for falling asleep at her desk, prompting her to seek help for her addiction.

She paid £200 for a confidential online addiction service, helpaddictions.org. After two months Jessie had managed to completely cut porn out of her life. She now has a new job in a bar and says the thought of watching porn makes her feel physically sick.
