Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she got so drunk before a sex scene with Chris Pratt that she ended up being wracked with guilt about the fact he was married.
Apparently she she felt so nervous about the scene that she had to build up a little Dutch courage beforehand – ultimately not a good idea. The actors are playing the leads in the upcoming science fiction romance film Passengers – due out in December next year.
Directed by Imitation Game director Morten Tyldum, and telling the story of a single spacecraft passenger faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, who eventually decides to wake up a second passenger, the film marks the first time she ever had to do an intimate scene.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter she said:
I got really, really drunk. But then that led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, What have I done? I don’t know. And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. You don’t know what’s too much. You want to do it real, you want everything to be real, but then … It was weird. And everything was done right; nobody did anything wrong. It’s just a bizarre experience.
Jennifer admits she found kissing Chris easier than smooching her Hunger Games co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson saying it felt less like making out with a family member joking, “not that I’m against that – I’m from Kentucky.”
I’m sure there are plenty of people who wish it was part of their job description.
