It’s no deeply hidden secret that as a people we are wholly obsessed with sex. Almost every aspect of our lives are flooded with it. Our favourite TV shows, our films, our adverts, and our newspapers are littered with all things sex.
But why do some people get more sex than others? Well a new study conducted by Florida State University has come up with a pretty simple answer; in a heterosexual relationship, it’s entirely down to the woman’s personality traits.
According to Elite Daily, the researchers asked 278 recently married couples to take a personality test and keep a two week diary where they recorded everything they got up to on a daily basis, including whether or not they had sex.
Now, we’re only human, it would only be normal to be desperate to know exactly how much sex the newlyweds were managing to endure, but it would appear that those asked had certainly surpassed the honeymoon stage, getting it on only two to four times over the two week period on average.
But why did some couples have more sex than others? It’s pretty obvious really. If the woman in the relationship was more open to new experiences and ideas, then the couple enjoyed more sex.
If she wasn’t open to new experiences, they didn’t.
What didn’t matter seem to matter, however, was the guys input in this sexual paradox, as the guys personality traits didn’t even merely effect the amount of sex the couple had. So yeah, it’s not too great being a guy…
Anyway – don’t stress if you’re on the lower end of the sexual activity spectrum as other studies in the past have proved that even if you’re getting it on just once a week, then you’re remaining active and healthy.
