Music fans around the world turned their attention to New York last night as rock, pop and rap stars met for the 2016 MTV Music Video Awards.
It was a night of glitz and glamour as stars like Kanye West, Beyoncé and Britney Spears all dazzled on the red carpet before wowing on-stage in an effort to out do each other.
However it seems that one star was a little over awed by everything going on around him, Chance the Rapper.
Chance, real name Chancelor Bennett, was being interviewed by MTV backstage and was warning Drake that he was ‘coming for his muscles,’ which we’re guessing is a reference to Drake beating him to the ‘Best Hip Hop Video’ award.
Unfortunately while Chance was distracted by the camera, he failed to notice Single Ladies singer Beyoncé sneaking up on him, photobombing his interview in spectacular style.
The ‘Beyoncé-bomb’ clearly flustered Chance, who obviously didn’t recognise the pop-icon at first, but the magnitude of what had just happened left him yelling like an excited fan, “That was Beyoncé!”
Chance quickly scarpered off to the star, leaving the flummoxed interviewer standing there saying ‘that just happened’ but Beyoncé’s knows better than to leave a journalist waiting and sends Chance back to his interview.
We’re sure Chance will be telling everyone ‘How Great’ his ‘Good Ass Intro’ to Beyonce was… I’ll get my coat.
