Ice Cube had the audience in the palm of his hand over the first weekend of Coachella 2016 after being joined by MC Ren and DJ Yella – well N.W.A went one better at the festival’s second weekend.

Not only did Ren and Yella appear by Ice Cube’s side, but Dr Dre took to the stage too, answering Cube’s call of ‘is there a doctor in the motherfucking house?’

It meant with the exception of Eazy-E, who died in 1995, N.W.A were back.

They did not perform any of their original tracks, but this cover of Still D.R.E was a solid substitute:

As reported by Konbini, it was the first time these guys had shared the stage together in twenty-seven years, and they had a few more surprises.

Cube brought out Kendrick Lamar to perform Alright from Lamar’s latest album To Pimp a Butterfly.

What a reunion, and solid cameo from Lamar too.

Those who were fortunate enough to be there will not be forgetting that show in a hurry!
