According to breaking reports, Chelsea have agreed a £30m deal for N’Golo Kante.
The Leicester City midfielder is expected to sign a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge, just one year after signing for the Foxes for just over £5m.
Kante was one of Claudio Ranieri’s standout players during the fairytale season, in which Leicester romped to the most unlikely Premier League title win in history.
The 25-year-old also starred for France at Euro 2016, as they finished runners up to Portugal last weekend.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to improve the energy in his squad, as he looks to rebuild a team that finished tenth last season.
Conte likes combative, energetic players in his system, and sees Kante as the perfect fit for his midfield.
Kante had a buyout clause of £20m in his Leicester contract, but Chelsea have paid extra to ensure no one else gazumps them in the race for the diminutive midfielder.
The former Caen man will be giving up Champions League football to join the Blues, who have already signed a replacement in Nampalys Mendy.
