So the England squad have had to catch an early flight home, it’s not the end of the world, just adopt a new team.

Here’s a look at the final 16 teams, choose wisely and vote for yours at the bottom!

Holland:

If you like fast paced attacking football and have an irrational love for the colour orange get behind the Dutch. Robben has been outstanding, the 30 year old has been playing like a 20 year old, while also managing to look like a 50 year old.

Spain:

Oh no wait, they shared a bus to the airport with the England team.

Chile:

Who doesn’t like a bit of spice in their life? These lads aren’t half bad and controlled the game against Spain.

Brazil:

Neymar is great to watch, such a top young talent and has scored 4 goals in three games. However, the main reason to get behind Brazil is so that you can cheer on David Luiz, he has funny hair, it bounces when he runs.

Argentina:

Is this Leo Messi’s tournament? Four goals so far, and seems to be getting better as the tournament progresses. If you want to see Messi lift the World Cup and confirm his status as the best footballer of all time, get behind the Argentinians.

Mexico:

They gave us the Mexican wave, tequila shots, and burritos. If that’s not enough their goalkeeper is also great to watch, and pulled off one of the performances of the tournament against Brazil.

Costa Rica:

The surprise package of the whole tournament. They laughed in the face of the group of death, and came out on top! Everyone likes a good underdog story, get behind the little guy!

France:

The French have reclaimed some of their Va Va Voom, and have some top attacking talent in the ranks. More importantly though, the manager left that arrogant twat Samir Nasri at home. Two great reasons to get behind Benzema and co.

Nigeria:

A good pacey outfit with plenty of talent. Also, it was sad to see Messi get all of the praise for scoring two goals against Nigeria, when Ahmed Mussa netting twice in the same game was arguably a better achievement. Follow these lot if you want to see Mussa bag a few more goals, and get the credit he deserves.

Colombia:

These guys have arguably been the team of the tournament so far, such a passionate talented team! If you know any Colombians, you will know how much football means to them. Cheer on Colombia because they deserve your support!

Greece:

As bland as the yoghurt that bears their name, Greece really aren’t much to look at. They have done well to get this far, but can’t see many neutrals getting behind the Greeks, sorry lads.

Uruguay:

If you fancy getting behind a team with a bit of a bite to them, get behind Uruguay. The sewer rat won’t be playing, or even allowed at the stadium, so maybe the rest of the Uruguayan players will win us over, it’s doubtful but possible.

USA:

These boys came through a tough group and have great support in Brazil and at home. ‘Soccer’ is on the up in The States, and the lads representing the national team aren’t letting their fans down at all. If you’re a fan of Will Ferell, and enjoy chanting USA USA then get behind Team America!

Switzerland:

The Swiss aren’t wildly entertaining, but hat trick hero Shaqiri is pretty good to watch. Get behind Switzerland if your a fan of the young Bayern Munich midfielder.

Germany:

The Germans are a great side, powerful, fast and deadly in front of goal. That being said, it’s unlikely that many England fans will get behind Ze Germans!

Belgium:

The Belgians have been labelled a World Cup disappointment despite topping their group with 9 points. They may well turn on the style in the next round because they have the talent to do it. If you enjoy watching the likes of Eden Hazard and Divock Origi then get behind The Red Devils!

Algeria:

These lot are another surprise package. The Algerians are quick and a lot more talented than most people would have expected. Get behind the North Africans if you fancy them to upset the odds again in the next round.
