Manchester United fans might not think about the days under David Moyes with much fondness, but their former manager might be about to do them a big favour.
That’s because he’s thought to be keen on reuniting with Marouane Fellaini for the third time in his career, after working with the player during his time at Everton and of course United.
Moyes is now in charge at Sunderland, and is eyeing spending the £13 million it’s thought it will take to convince Jose Mourinho to part with the destructive player.
Fellaini has never settled in at Old Trafford, and isn’t exactly a fan favourite, and while Mourinho is thought to be willing to work with the player, he has made it clear that more players are expected to leave between now and the end of the transfer window, and it’s looking increasingly likely Fellaini might be one of those.
However, given Jose once tried to play Pepe in midfield during his time at Real Madrid, he could find a use for Marouane and his elbows yet.
