The final England squad for Euro 2016 has been announced by Roy Hodgson, and the internet was not pleased.
Marcus Rashford and Daniel Sturridge made the cut, as Danny Drinkwater and Andros Townsend missed out.
Now while most people would agree with taking the two forwards, including Jack Wilshere and Raheem Sterling has gone down rather badly considering how well Townsend plays for England – not to mention the season Premier League winner Drinkwater has had.
So here’s how Twitter responded.
Wilshere came in for some stick…
.@England can you please explain why Wilshere has made the final squad?

Drinkwater – Wins league. Plays nearly every game.
Sturridge – 8 months in hospital.
Wilshere – 1 start all season. pic.twitter.com/GXHayFe4hg

Sturridge, Wilshere and Hendo are not fit – Drinkwater just won the league. Townsend had a great end to the season. Favoritism fi dead

Townsend offers something that no other England player offers. It's a really shortsighted decision by Roy.

So 2 players who are fit & in form are dropped? Hodgson's bottled that. Drinkwater & Townsend deserved to go ahead of Henderson & Sturridge.

A fit Wilshare is better than Drinkwater. So what if he hasn't played. https://t.co/ZmrFvpa8ty
