Love him or hate him, you have to accept that Jose Mourinho attracts attention.
Some of it is good, and sometimes it borders on going a little too far – and this story falls directly into the second category.
That’s because one Jose superfan actually cancelled her Christmas dinner, after Chelsea sacked the Special One last December.
58-year-old Viv Bodycote claims she’s Mourinho’s most passionate admirer, and when you consider the evidence, it’s hard to disagree.
She’s usually seen wearing a “Mrs. Mourinho” t-shirt, and has two tattoos in relation to the Portuguese manager.
One, on her upper arm, depicts the Portugal flag, while she has ‘JM’ printed on her wrist.
It’s more of an obsession than being a fan.
I won’t go out if he’s on TV. I watch every single game and every interview. It occupies quite a lot of my life. If I had a chance to go out somewhere if he’s on TV I will have to say no.
It has become a real addiction, he has become an addiction. I like everything about him. I love his personality and I think he is absolutely hilarious.
I think he’s the best manager in the world. I even like seeing photos of his family. He’s just the whole package. I love the hype that he brings to the game, especially if he clashes with other managers.
He brings so much entertainment to the game but I hate it when other managers criticise him.
I can’t get enough of him.
Married Viv also has a pet tortoise named Jose, but reports that it beat Marouane Fellaini in a 100 metre sprint are unfounded.
And there was us thinking that Jose’s number one fan was Juan Mata.
We should have known better.
