One of the best things about the new season is the return of fantasy football.
Picking the best combination of players with a limited budget is one of the most fun things to do, even if everyone does end up with a very similar team towards the end of the season.
There’s some absolute no-brainers when it comes to selecting a 15 man squad. Dimitri Payet and Dele Alli were some of last season’s top picks, while Jamie Vardy’s 24 goals saw him become a favourite.
Sergio Aguero is one of the most picked stars of fantasy games though, and this season was no exception as the Argentine became the country’s most popular choice, but now there’s a new number one.
And it’s the God of Manchester.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recently overtaken Aguero to be the country’s most picked player, with 51.4% of the 3,555,924 managers opting for the Swedish legend.
Aguero is in second place, and is the only other player to have been picked by more than one in two players, with Manchester United’s David De Gea completing the top three.
There’s no room for Vardy or Harry Kane – in fact, there’s only two English players in the top ten – Kyle Walker and John Stones.
