A new BBC documentary will reveal what life in Wayne Rooney’s Cheshire Mansion is like.
The Manchester United and England captain has used his £300,000 a week salary to turn it into a playground for his kids. The 29-year-old is a family man at heart, and apparently regularly writes poetry for Coleen.
Wayne shows off some of his prized possessions, including his collection of signed guitars from various artists, including Noel Gallagher and Sir Paul McCartney, the Daily Mail reports.
The show’s presented by Gary Linekar, and when during the interview Wayne says his wife is bossy she quickly puts him in his place.
You would forget everything and anything if I didn’t tell you what to do. Or he’ll take something in if someone’s had a baby or if it’s one of the other player’s kid’s birthdays, I’ll say: “Will you take that in and give it to them?”
Weeks later I will look in the boot of his car and there’s still the present in the back of the car; thank you cards for our kids, a year later still in the car.Advertisement
Oh Wayne, what are you like.
Wayne Rooney: The Man Behind the Goals airs on BBC One on Monday at 9pm.
