John Terry is one of the most mutually hated footballers on the planet.
His years of questionable personal life choices have set almost every neutral football fan against him, but he’s shown his class by offering to pay all funeral costs of a young Chelsea fan who lost his battle with cancer recently.
Eight-year-old Tommi Miller was a massive fan of the Blues, and had received a personal letter from JT during his tragically short life.
Terry had a soft spot for the young fan, and had been in touch with his mother Ruth to offer to pay the £1,600 to cover the costs of the ceremony.
Speaking about Tommi, Terry said:
Having had the pleasure of meeting Tommi at a Chelsea game I was totally devastated to hear of him passing away.
I’m sure his family and friends will give him the send off he deserves.
Absolute class from the Chelsea skipper. RIP Tommi.
