If you know anything about Mario Balotelli, it’s that he’s no stranger to the extraordinary.

Setting off fireworks in his bathroom, collecting parking fines in his supercar and wearing that t-shirt during the Manchester derby, Mario knows how to attract attention.

And he was on top form this weekend, as he found himself unwittingly crashing a couple’s wedding – who turned out to be Liverpool fans.

The bride and groom, Vicky and David O’Leary, seized their opportunity to grab Balotelli for the wedding pictures, despite Mario not exactly being dressed for the occasion.

Photographer Adam Johns asked the Italian if he’d be in the snaps, and the former AC Milan striker duly obliged – giving the happy couple a truly unique memory from their special day.

Johns said:

The couple said he was really nice and friendly, and more than happy to have photos taken with them, which made their day with them being such big Reds fans.

It was the icing on the cake.

Balotelli’s Liverpool future is in doubt, as the Italian is not in Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans this season, and is expected to move on.

Sampdoria have been linked with a loan move for the 25-year-old, but there is no concrete offer on the table as yet.

Considering he’s likely to end up spending most of his time on the bench if he stays at Anfield, Balotelli may have found an alternate career as a wedding extra.

Anything for a few quid and a slice of the wedding cake, ey Mario?
