On the night of UFC 205, it was always going to take something to pull some of the attention away from Conor McGregor’s history making fight with Eddie Alvarez.
But, earlier in the night, another featherweight champion hit the headlines at Cage Warriors Unplugged, as Paddy “the Baddy” Pimblett laboured to a controversial win over Julian Erosa by judges decision.
Pimblett, the Cage Warriors featherweight champion, often insists he is better than McGregor and aims to make it in the UFC, but it was his post-fight interview that got everyone talking after his latest win.
As you might know, making weight in MMA isn’t always easy, and Pimblett struggled to make the 145 pound limit before his scrap with Erosa.
He needed an extra two hours at the weigh in as he attempted to shred the final two pounds, and it showed after the fight as he threw up blood – right in the middle of being interviewed.
Check it out, but be warned, it’s absolutely grim:

In case you couldn’t make that out (or were just distracted by that haircut), when asked what he would work on with his team next, Pimblett answered “my diet”.
He then spews up his guts in the middle of the cage, causing the interviewer to panic and signal for medical attention.
I doubt Pimblett will make the same dieting mistake again in future…
