Chelsea winger and all round flop Pedro isn’t the brightest of guys.
He showed off his embarrassing knowledge on Chelsea’s pre season tour of America last week, and has backed it up with his latest comments about team mate Eden Hazard.
That’s because somehow, Pedro thinks Hazard can reach the same level as Lionel Messi, despite the Belgian turning in a season more in the ‘Cameron Jerome’ category last year.
Pedro once played with Messi at Barcelona – when he wasn’t benched – and is well qualified to talk about the comparison, which is why it’s confusing as to how he’s got it so wrong.
The Spaniard said:
When it comes to Messi, we are talking about a player I believe is still the best in the world. He really is on a different level to other players.
But Hazard is a very, very good player, you can see his technique is excellent and he has shown everything at Chelsea.
He is still young, so he is going to continue improving to one day be among the very best in the world.
It’s always going to be difficult to compete with a player of Lionel’s ability, but Eden has all the qualities to do exactly that.
He has that ability and talent to stand out from the crowd, to make the difference and be decisive. When you see him produce moments of magic, it is easy to draw comparisons with Messi.
‘Easy to draw comparisons with Messi’ one of the most baffling comments ever made, especially after a season where Chelsea turned in the worst Premier League title defence in history, turned on their manager and only just scraped the top ten.
Pedro needs to stick to bench warming, given he doesn’t have a future career in player analysis.
