Real madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has asked for his contract to be terminated so he can make a free switch to Arsenal this summer.
Casillas helped Real to La Decima in May with victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final.
But he has already lost his place to Diego Lopez and with Carlo Ancelotti wanting to bring in Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas, Casillas is now looking to move to the Emirates according to El Confidencial.
Arsenal have been linked with the Spanish international in the past and despite already agreeing a £3.2m fee for Nice’s David Ospina, the Gunners could still make a move for the former best-in-the-world.
Wenger has already seen Lukasz Fabianski join Swansea this summer and despite Wojciech Szczesny having a good season last term, he still doesn’t look like a permanent number 1.
