World Cup golden boot winner James Rodriguez is set to follow Toni Kroos in joining Real Madrid.
The European champions have agreed terms with the Colombian play-maker for a move, according to Spanish daily AS.
Rodriguez joined Monaco last summer for £38m however a a £63m offer from Real has been slammed on the table.
The 22-year-old is the hottest property in the world at the moment, and is being chased by just about every major club.
Toni Kroos completed his move to Real today and the addition of James Rodriguez would be a serious statement from boss man Ancelotti.
Rodriguez scored six times to help Colombia reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the first time in their history.
Earlier in the summer Rodriguez indicated he preferred Spain to England, saying: ‘It is a league that is good technically, and where you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style. The Premier League is maybe a bit physical at this stage.’
If he does sign, then their odds to retain the Champions League are going to soar this year.
