If you’re going to watch the World Cup in Brazil this summer, you’re going to need somewhere to stay – so how about the home of one of the country’s greatest ever players?
Football superstar Ronaldinho is offering up his family home for fans to rent during the tournament, after he missed out on a place in the Brazil squad.
The 34-year-old former Fifa World Player of the Year winner was tipped to earn a call up to Phil Scolari’s 23-man team, but he wasn’t selected – and is now off on holiday instead.
Ronaldinho is happy for anybody to stay in his beautiful five bedroom mansion in the Barra da Tijuca area of Rio, as long as they can stump up £9,000-per-night.
The house is showcased on the Airbnb website which helps people find accommodation on their trips abroad, with the midfielder keen to stress that it’s a bargain really.
‘Hi guys! Take advantage of my movement in the next few weeks. I’m putting my house in Rio for rent,’ he wrote on Facebook.
‘It’s beautiful and I’ve had many good experiences here.’
If you can put together some funds, you can enjoy amazing swimming pools, football memorabilia and even climb inside Ronaldinho’s garden tree house.
