Never one to mince his words, British heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has taken things too far (and not for the first time), comparing homosexuality and abortion to paedophilia in a bizarre, offensive rant.
We all know Fury isn’t the brightest button in the box but his claims that legalising paedophilia would be the same as legalising homosexuality and abortion are moronic, even for him.
The 27-year-old also helpfully added that he’s not scared of being accused of homophobia as his religious beliefs as a Christian confirmed for him that being gay is a sin. Charming.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, he said:
There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the devil comes home. One of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other is paedophilia. Who would have thought in the 50s and 60s that those first two would be legalised?
When I say paedophiles could be made legal, it sounds crazy. But if I had said to you about the first two being made legal in the 50s, I would have been looked upon as a crazy man.
Should we be slightly worried now that this guy is campaigning to be the MP for Morecambe?
Fury is due to fight Wladimir Klitschko on November 28 for the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles and, if he could just stop talking until then, that’d be great.
