Game of Thrones’ epic and exciting sixth season came to an explosive end last weekend, and fans are already speculating what happens next.
Most fans are wondering who’s going to end up on the Iron Throne but of course there’s a minority worrying about the far more important matter of who’s going to marry who.
Fans aren’t the only ones speculating though and Sophie Turner, the actress who plays Sansa Stark, has said she thinks two of the show’s most powerful characters will end up marrying each other.
In an interview with Variety she said:
Honestly, what I think is going to happen – and I don’t know where the story is going to go, but I think Jon [Kit Harington] and Daenerys [Emilia Clarke] are going to end up together, probably.
Of course Jon and Daenerys are actually aunt and nephew but that’s never stopped the Targaryens before so there’s a chance they could end up together.
Turner also has ‘disappointing’ news for those hoping that Jon and Sansa would end up together now that it’s been revealed they’re not siblings.
I feel like Jon and Sansa would be a strange one, especially because isn’t it considered not legitimate if you haven’t consummated the marriage, and I really don’t think either of them would be particularly up for that.
In the finale of Game of Thrones we discovered that Jon Snow isn’t Ned Stark’s bastard and is instead the son of the prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, making him the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
Only time will tell whether Jon will end up in the most uncomfortable chair in Westeros and who’ll be his queen, but we can’t wait to see where the show goes next.
