I’m not much of a modern art fan. But, if it involves a rocket launcher… I’m all ears.
Marcus Dove is an art student that wanted to do something a bit different for his self-portrait, so he fired the paint at the canvas from 30 metres away using a rocket launcher. Beats a brush any day.
Dove’s statement said:
From scratch I have built a weapon influenced by one of the most devastating pieces of equipment used in war today, the rocket launcher.
Instead of using paint, I could’ve filled the missile tips with impact explosives and used this to reap massacre or invoke an iconoclastic act, attacking a representation of something I disapprove of.
He has only currently released the ‘part one’ video, and apparently he is doing a second one which will be a lot bigger and use more colour.
