A Thai man is recovering in hospital after a massive python locked its jaws on his penis having swam up a toilet.
38-year-old Atthaporn Boonmakchuay is reported by the Daily Mirror to have been squatting over his toilet at home when his genitals were attacked.
Boonmakchuay reached down a grabbed the huge python’s head before screaming for his wife to help.
The unfortunate man suffered serious blood loss as he and the snake battled in the small bathroom but, fearing he could lose his penis, Boonmakchuay devised a last-ditch plan.
After calling for rope he tied the snake’s head to the bathroom door shortly before passing out.
Emergency services arrived on the scene in Chachoengsao, east of Bangkok, to free Boonmakchuay and remove the four-metre serpent from the u-bend.
After hammers were used to smash the toilet, the snake was released back into the wild.
Boonmakchuay is now in a stable condition, but will surely be altering his bathroom habits to include a safety check in future.
