Celtic Fan With Down’s Syndrome Wins SPL Goal Of The Month

A ten-year-old Celtic fan with down’s syndrome has just won the SPL goal of the month award and bagged it by a landslide.

Young Jay Beatty’s dreams came true earlier this month when he got the opportunity to take a spot kick during Celtic’s away game at Hamilton Academical.

And after burying his penalty, the Scottish Prem decided to add it into their official goal of the month competition.

Jay found out he’d been crowned champ when his hero, ex-Celtic player Georgios Samaras, sent a special video message from Saudi Arabia to announce it.

Jay’s father, Martin Beatty, said:

Not many of us get to live our dreams and Jay is getting to live all our dreams. Thank you to everyone for making this possible – we are so grateful and proud.

Brilliant stuff.
