Donald Trump’s Republican Convention Accidentally Went ‘Full Nazi’

After serving up a cold dish of criticism against Hillary Clinton and declaring war on man buns and men in skinny jeans, conservative radio host and political commentator Laura Ingraham shockingly saluted to the crowd at the Republican National Convention stage.

Whether it was a not-so-subtle Nazi salute or a very ill-attempted wave is unclear, but with all the Adolf Hitler comparisons to Donald Trump lately, it probably wasn’t a smart move.

Unsurprisingly, to Trump supporters, it didn’t falter the success of her speech – Ingraham earned the week’s loudest and longest sustained applause by chastising the hundreds of reporters gathered in Cleveland for the National Convention.

After a speech that focused on the loss of ‘American greatness’ (and possibly a hidden Nazi message?), the frequent Fox News guest host looked up to the balcony of journalists.

She said:

To all my friends – they’re way up there – in the press. I see you! Hello! Hello!

To all my friends up there in the press: You all know why, in your heart, Donald Trump won the nomination. You know it. You know why he won it?

Because he dared to call out the phonies, the frauds, and the corruption that has gone unexposed and uncovered for far too long. Too long! Do your job!

Despite being a journalist herself, she continued to blame reporters for failing to uncover corruption in the Obama administration, and said part of Trump’s rise can be traced back to his willingness to say what they won’t print.

Cue deafening cheers (and the alleged Nazi salute).

Worryingly, Ingraham isn’t the first of Trump’s supporters to make the infamous gesture.

Trump fanatics have been heard yelling ‘Heil Donald Trump’ and ‘Sieg Heil’ at the Republican nominee’s rallies, NY Daily News reports.

The radio host has publicly spoken out against likening the Republican Party to Nazis, calling it ‘a really ridiculous comparison’. But thanks to her latest stunt, it’s not so hard to see the likeness.
