This footage shows Pedro Piquet, the 17-year-old son of former Formula F1 driver Nelson Piquet, surviving a spectacular crash.

Piquet Jnr’s car was knocked off the track, flipping nine times after being struck at the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge in Brazil, the BBC reports.

He received medical attention on site at the Autodromo Internacional Ayrton Senna before he was taken to a nearby hospital for observation.

Luckily, he only received minor injuries, and posted a photo to his Instagram with the caption ‘just a small scare, I am fine up here. Thanks for all the support’.

It’s a miracle he was alright after that!
