– 500g beef mince
– 1tbsp smoked paprika
– 1tbsp garlic powder
– 1tbsp onion powder
– 1tbsp thyme
– Salt & pepper
– 200g bacon lardons (cooked)
– 75ml Bourbon
– 1 x bottle Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce
– 8 x slider buns
– 8 x slices smoked cheddar
First, combine the mince and spices in a large bowl.
Add the lardons and roll into 8-10 meatballs.
Next, heat some oil in a frying pan and cook the meatballs until they’re nicely browned all over.
Deglaze the pan with the Bourbon, then pour in the BBQ sauce.
Add the meatballs back to the pan and glaze with the sauce.
Put one meatball on each slider bun, followed by a spoonful of sauce then a slice of smoked cheddar and grill for 5 minutes.
