As 50th Anniversary presents go, they don’t come much sweeter than this.
Nick Raymond surprised his parents (and, boy, were they surprised) with an all-expenses paid trip to Hawaii, the one place they both really wanted to visit.
First, Nick used a bit of clever misdirection, before he revealed the true gift of the first class tickets and 12-day holiday. He’d really planned this out!
The timing of the video was pretty cool too, being released on U.S Mother’s Day.
In the video description, Nick explained:
My parents are celebrating their 50th Anniversary next month and I wanted to get them something nice to celebrate. Through the last few months, I was able to find out that Hawaii is the one place they’d really like to go for a vacation. My mother had told me this was not going to happen in her lifetime, seeing as it was too expensive and their bills took financial priority. This really hurt to hear, as my mother did the best she could her entire life to provide for my sister and I and give me the opportunities in life that I wanted. Even though I feel I owe them both so much more, I felt this was a good way of saying thank you.Advertisement
What a nice guy! It kind of puts the rest of us to shame though. I can just about remember to buy my parents a card on their birthdays…
