1161 Pilots Sacked For Letting Playboy Model Fly Their Plane

Two pilots from Argentina have been sacked after allowing Playboy model Victoria Xipolitakis into their cockpit, then letting her fly the plane.

The model, who poses for the Greek version of Playboy magazine, also tweeted some photos from the cockpit that have since gone viral. She has been banned from the airline for five years.

Criminal charges have now been launched against all three of them by the airline (Austral Líneas Aéreas) for “putting the flight’s safety at risk”. There were thirty passengers on board the domestic flight at the time.

In a statement, the airline said:

In relation to the events that took place during the Austral flight 2708 on Monday June 22, Aerolineas Argentinas and Austral state that the pilots Patricio Zocchi Molina and Federico Matias Soaje were removed from their activities on this day and will be dismissed as well as the rest of the staff with responsibility in this event … the passenger will be prevented from flying for five years on Aerolineas and Austral flights by virtue of the right of admission available to the company.

During her time with the pilots in the cockpit, Victoria recorded six videos. They have all subsequently been leaked:

According to Fox News Latino, some passengers are now thinking about taking legal action. And when they hear some of the quotes from the above video, such as “You’re going to control the plane for takeoff”, I’m sure said legal action will take place.

Madness.
