Krishnan Guru-Murthy knows how to piss people off. He has a history of it. And now he can add Robert Downey Jr to his list.
While in London to promote his new Avengers film, the Hollywood legend stormed out of a Channel 4 interview with Guru-Murthy when asked about his history of drug abuse and time in prison.
Downey was furious when Krishna changed the line of questioning, as he does, and suddenly brought up personal things from his past.
But the nail in the coffin was when Krishnan brought up his relationship with his father, to which Downey replied, “I’m sorry, I really don’t… what are we doing?”
He then walked off set, while interviewer Krishnan seemingly sat smug in his chair, grinning as Downey’s microphone was removed from his shirt.
Moral of the story? When you’re interviewing someone who is promoting their new movie, don’t dig up said person’s past and expect an Oprah style interview. Or something like that.
