Urga Adunga is a taxi driver from Calgary. He is also a hero after stopping his taxi to save a group of ducklings.

Yeah, you read that right. Adunga works for Checker Yellow Cabs and part way through a casual day at work, he was driving down 16th Ave. and Shaganappi Trail when he saw the ducklings, and when most people would have carried on, the driver stopped his taxi and scooped the ducks up.

He then drove them to the Bow River and saved them, putting them back into the water – and writing off the $21 taxi fare, because ducks don’t have money, obviously.

He claimed:

As humans it is our responsibility to protect animals, nature and the environment. Not only the animals, but humans too. We have to rescue each other, and help each other out.

Give this man a medal!
