I’m not sure why these stories keep popping up. Surely, the amount of people getting caught out for stolen valor, some of which taking beatings, would lead people into thinking that perhaps it ain’t such a good idea.
This bellend was in an army getup in Florida, when Eric Coins filmed him using his ‘status’ to talk to people and to get free drinks.
Seeing as the outfit looked shoddy and didn’t even have a name tag, Coins doubted that the army man was as legit as he was acting, so he confronted him about it.
He asked him where he did his basic training. “Miami”. Which is impressive, as Coins happens to know that basic training takes place in Georgia… Not Miami.
When he was asked where his namebadge was, the douche said that he took it off because he ‘doesn’t want anybody to know his name’. I can’t think why.
Stolen valor is a proper dick move. When you get caught out, which you will.. You look like a right prick.
Earn your stripes.
