220 This Tavern In Tokyo Has An Actual Monkey Waiter

This is the famous Kayabuki Tavern, two hours north of Tokyo. Why is it famous you ask? Oh, only because of their AWESOME MONKEY WAITERS.

That’s right. This small establishment has actual monkeys that wait on tables, bring drinks, serve hot towels, give change and just generally entertain the customers.

According to the tavern owner, the monkeys that he owned as pets began to deliver the hot towels themselves, after watching him do it over time.

The place is regularly inspected for health and safety reasons and the monkeys are only allowed to work 2 hours a day. And they absolutely love it.
